This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Nirog24 collects when you use our website and app, why we collect it, and how it's protected. Health-related orders involve sensitive information, so we've kept collection to what's actually needed to run the service.
1. What we collect
Depending on how you use the Platform, we collect:
- Account details: your name and phone number (verified by OTP), used to log you in and identify your orders.
- Delivery details: the addresses you save, and your live location at checkout, so a delivery partner can navigate to you and we can pick the nearest shop.
- Order & health-adjacent data: what you order (including any Rx-required items), any prescription image you upload for those orders, and your lab test bookings β used only to fulfil that order or booking.
- Payment method: which payment option you choose at checkout (UPI app, card, or cash on delivery). We do not store your card, UPI PIN, or bank details on our servers.
- Communications: messages sent through an order's chat/support thread, and reviews you submit for products you've bought.
- Device & usage data: basic technical data (like browser/app type, and a push-notification token if you enable notifications) used to make the Platform work reliably and to send you order updates.
2. How we use it
We use your data to:
- Create and manage your account, and process and deliver your orders and lab bookings.
- Send order status updates and delivery-partner tracking, including push notifications you've opted into (order updates always send; promotional/offer notifications only go to logged-in users who've enabled notifications).
- Verify prescriptions for Rx-required medicines.
- Respond to support requests and order-related messages.
- Show your own past orders, recently viewed items, and your own verified-purchase reviews back to you.
- Improve the Platform (for example, understanding which categories or products are popular) and keep it secure.
We don't sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Who we share it with
We share only what's needed to fulfil your order or booking: your delivery address and order details with the shop and delivery partner assigned to it; your lab booking details with the collecting phlebotomist and partner lab; and, where legally required, information with government or regulatory authorities. Our delivery partners and lab staff can see what's needed to do their job, not your full order history.
4. Product reviews
When you submit a product review, your name is shown in a shortened, privacy-friendly form (for example, "Ravi K." instead of your full name) alongside your rating and review text. Reviews are only accepted from customers with a delivered order for that product, and you can edit your own review at any time.
5. Your choices & rights
- You can view and update your saved addresses and account details from your account page.
- You can turn push notifications on or off from your device/browser settings.
- You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data (subject to what we're legally required to retain, such as records of completed transactions) by writing to us β see Contact below.
6. How long we keep data
We keep order and prescription records for as long as needed to resolve any delivery, returns/refund, or regulatory query about that order, and as required by applicable Indian law, after which they're deleted or anonymised.
7. Security
We use standard safeguards β including OTP-based login (no passwords to leak), server-side session handling, and restricted access to prescription uploads β to protect your data. No online system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
8. Cookies & similar technology
The Platform uses your browser session to keep you logged in and remember things like your cart and recently viewed products. We don't use third-party advertising trackers.
9. Children's data
Nirog24 isn't directed at children. Orders should be placed by an adult, on behalf of themselves or a family member if needed.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Platform grows. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
